Welcome to Sugar Hill Farm

We are a family farm located approximately 16 km north of Kingston, Ontario just outside the village of Sunbury. Our farm is currently certified organic through Pro-Cert.

Sugar Hill Farm is operated by Mike and Janet Voith and their children Adam, Craig, and Hilary.

We direct market several farm products, but our main products are our totally grass-fed certified organic (Pro-Cert) Black Angus beef and lamb. Other farm products include Red Tamworth pork, meat chickens, Bronze turkeys, Muscovy ducks, maple syrup, honey, Guinea fowl, and firewood.

We have been enjoying Voith family farm products for several years. The beef, pork, chicken and maple syrup products we have purchased from the Voith's are second to none and we frequently refer our friends to them. You can taste the difference and the price is right!

We believe in sustainable agriculture and local food

Sustainable agriculture reduces the harmful impacts on the environment. In our case we do not use pesticides, herbicides, or petro-chemical fertilizers. We practice rotational grazing to allow pastures time to re-grow, and we use composted manures to fertilize our fields, and we do not use GMO seeds.

Local food supports local businesses by injecting money back into the local economy by giving work to local people such as farmers, hardware stores, farm equipment and feed dealers, abattoir operators, local butchers, etc. rather than supporting multinational corporations which do not invest in our villages and cities. Local food also reduces large transportation distances that consume huge quantities of fuel. Finally, local food helps preserve the endangered family farm.
